As some of you know, my girlfriend bought us a kick ass 42" Flat Screen HDTV back in November. 1080p with tons of features.

Since most of my new found financial solvency is because I'm no longer supporting a freeloading money leech, I decided to partially return the favor. For Valentine's Day, I bought my baby a sexy iPod Nano!

As an added bonus, since we both share March 1st ad a Birthday, I got her an AppleTV to hook up to our erection inducing flat screen. It's technically a birthday present for both of us, but she's also getting a sexy corset from Stormy Leather.

For the first time in... well ever really, I'm dating someone who not only pulls her own weight financially in the relationship, but who actually contributes. Granted, I still owe a shitload in taxes, but all of my bills are caught up otherwise.

I have to say, the AppleTV is pretty impressive. It pretty seamlessly connected to our network, it sees all of the content on my MacBook Pro and it's fast. Mind you, I pay extra for RoadRunner's Super High Speed Cable Conection, and my home network is the AirPort Extreme 803.11n standard, but there is almost no delay.

YouTube, Flickr, .Mac galleries, the whole system just works. We even rented our first HD movie "Alien vs. Predator" and it just worked. It's nice to spend money on comsumer electronics and have them just work. In the next month or so, I think I'm getting a Bose HDMI reciever and 5.1 speaker system.

Staying in with my girl has never been so nice.
